Ever wonder what Mantra might look like in real life? Well, in 1993 Malibu decided to answer that question when they contracted JK2 Costumers to create a costume to be worn during the 1993 San Diego Comicon. Most of the images here were taken from Hero Illustrated magazine, although a couple of the better ones are from the costumer's web site. (You might also try their original web site.)
As an interesting aside, Hero Illustrated #5 had a section of various quotes taken from the convention. One amusing quote was:
"This damn costume is killing me." - Mantra, Malibu comics
Well, I'm sure that it's a small price to pay for those fantastic magical powers,
right?
I realize that a lot of these images are small, but many of the images from Hero Illustrated were like postage stamps, so unfortunately I think that this is about as big as they're going to get.
