A four-issue limited series that again involved most of the Ultra-heroes. The
heroes are introduced to the Godwheel--an immense disk nearly the size of a
solar system that serves as the home of countless magical and technological
races. The series was done well, but for in many ways it signaled "the
beginning of the end" for the Ultraverse, as it culminated with the arrival
of Thor and Loki from the Marvel universe. These arrivals were the first of
what would soon become a disturbing trend of pointless crossovers and needless
incursions by Marvel characters into the Ultraverse books.

The god Argus, seeking the items necessary to maintain his eternal life,
enlists the help of the Ultras to retrieve the items from the Godwheel.

The Ultras are introduced to the Godwheel, and form an uneasy alliance
to gather the Keys before Argus is able to do so. Meanwhile, Argus has
chosen his own champions to assist in his quest.

The race for the Keys continues as the Ultras unite against Argus and
race against his minions to retrieve the remaining artifacts.

The final artifact is retrieved and the Keys are reunited, and chaos
erupts as alliances are quickly dissolved, with each party seeking immortality
for their ends.
